What is the enrollment criteria?Any child between birth and 12 years of age is eligible to be enrolled in our center based on available space regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, disability, medical condition, or sex.

Can I get financial aid to help with the cost of tuition?We highly recommend checking out the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County to apply for Financial Aid. The School Readiness (SR) program can help with the cost of childcare tuition through a partial scholarship that will pay for a portion of the childcare cost based on household income. What are the Payment Methods for Tuition and Fees?Accept payment methods Debit, Credit, ACH and Cash Payments. In-Person Payments No Processing Fee Online Payments Card and ACH will go directly through the Brightwheel App. Card Processing Fee: 2.95% ACH Processing Fee: 0.6% $0.25 min, $2 max (checking account only) Autopay - is an option, but it is not a requirement. Autopay in brightwheel (sometimes referred to as automatic/direct withdrawal) saves time and ensures timely tuition payments by charging the full balance on each statement due date. Autopay settings can be customized for each student and for multiple payment methods. Autopay always triggers a payment for the the total balance due, including any existing balance on next statement due date.

What times can I drop off my child?Children arriving late often cause disruptions with other children, activities, and meals. Children must be dropped off by 9:00 am or they will not be allowed to stay. If your child has an appointment, you may let the Director know that your child will be late no later than the prior day. They may be admitted late with a note from the office of the appointment. We do ask if your child misses a meal/snack during the appointment time that you feed the child before returning the child to the center.

What dates will the center be closed?Holidays The center will be closed on observed holidays. New Year’s Day Strawberry Festival Grand Parade Day Good Friday Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Day After Thanksgiving Christmas Eve Christmas Day New Year's Eve A Floating Holiday to Be Announced Yearly in Advance (For 2024 closed December 23) There will be a rare occasion when we will close early. There will be notice given as soon as possible. One example would be an approaching hurricane. Another example would be on the first Friday of December each year, we will close early. This is due to road closures in the surrounding area. If the city moves the date of the Christmas parade, then we will adjust as well.

What if I am late picking up my child?If your child is picked up late, after 6 pm, you will be charged a fee. The late pick-up fee will be $5.00 per minute, per child for every minute after 6:00 pm. This fee needs to be paid by the close of the next business day.

What if my child is absent for an extended period?Vacation Vacation can be taken once per calendar year. It is one full week (Monday - Friday) when your child is absent, and no tuition or fees are charged. Please notify the director when you would like to use the vacation week so that your billing invoice can be updated. Hold Your Spot Fee If your child is absent for the week and you have already used your vacation week for the year you will be charged 50% of the full time rate to hold your child's spot. Part-Time and Full Time rates will be billed according to the weekly enrollment agreement for all other absent scenarios.

What if my child is sick?Infection Control Policy At the center If your child shows any signs of the symptoms listed below at the center, you will be called and asked to immediately pick up your child. Please help us protect other children and staff by responding promptly. Symptoms Include: Diarrhea Vomiting Fever of 100+ Severe coughing Difficulty or rapid breathing Rash Pink eye Head lice or nits At home If the child shows any of the following symptoms at home, we ask that you keep the child out of LLP until the symptoms are gone or until your child’s physician says it is safe to return. If your child is sent home they may not return for at least 24 hours from the last symptom. It is imperative that we all work together to keep all the children who attend the center happy and as healthy as possible. We thank you for your cooperation.

Why/When do I have to sign that I have read a brochure?Upon enrollment acknowledgement of the Know Your Childcare Facility brochure is required. During the 2009 legislative session, a new law was passed that requires child care facilities, family day care homes and large family child care homes to provide parents with information detailing the causes, symptoms, and transmission of the influenza virus (the flu) every year during August and September. During the 2018 legislative session, a new law was passed that requires child care facilities, family day care homes and large family child care homes to provide parents, during the months of April and September each year, with information regarding the potential for distracted adults to fail to drop off a child at the facility/ home and instead leave them in the adult’s vehicle upon arrival at the adult’s destination.
